Buttock Enlargement with Fat Sculpting and Reshaping

Beautiful bodies are balanced. An equal proportion of weight needs to be distributed between the hips, breasts and buttocks to have an aesthetically pleasing form.

A sculpted body has a natural flow with curves starting at the level of the back and hips and naturally blending into the posterior thighs. There are two dimples in the sacral area. The buttocks are firm and full with projection that is visible with or without clothing. This is the image that I try to recreate with fat sculpting, reshaping, and enlargement of the buttocks.

There are many different shapes to the buttocks that patients find undesirable. They include a square or boxy shape with too much fullness in the upper back, and not enough fullness in the buttock creating more width than projection. Another common shape is round but not full in size. The third shape lacks fullness and size.

Cellulite in the buttock region is common and can be improved but not completely eradicated with the superficial fat injections and augmentation.

These various shapes and deformities can be improved with fat sculpting and injections of the buttocks.

Also known as the Brazilian Butt Lift, Buttock sculpting and enlargement with fat is my preferred technique. Buttock enlargement with implants is selectively done for patients who do not have enough native fat for natural augmentation. Problems such as movement of the implants hardening and infection may occur.

The Brazilian Butt Lift procedure is done under anesthesia in my certified operating facility at 1035 Park Avenue in New York. The fat is harvested through liposuction from the abdomen and the back and waist is sculpted through suctioning to reduce size and improve shape. Pure fat is then injected  subcutaneously to reshape and enlarge the buttocks.

Post operatively you should expect some discomfort especially in the buttock region. This is mostly due to  pressure from the expansion with the injections. As the skin and muscles expand to accommodate the new volume you will feel better. This may take as little as one week and maybe up to three or more weeks.

Since the fat is injected in a very vascular plane and pure fat is being re injected a large percentage of the fat is retained. This will vary from patient to patient. However some degree of resorption and fat and volume loss is expected and unavoidable.
