Procedures

Dr. Norman Day offers a variety of different skin enhancing services. Listed below are just a few of those services.

Skin Peel: Chemical Peel is a chemical solution applied to the face removing the skin's top layers that have been damaged, wrinkled, or unevenly pigmented, allowing a new, healthier skin to emerge. Chemical peels have been performed for centuries. With morethan 1.3 million patients having chemical peels, this procedure was the most commonly performed non-surgical cosmetic procedure in 2001 for both men and women. Chemical peels differ in ingredients and strength. Depth of peeling achieved also varies according to the amount of time the peel is left on the skin and whether the peel is lightly, heavily, or vigorously applies. Anesthesia is not required. You may feel a mild tingling or stinging feeling.

Scar Revision: The techniques used and the extent of the procedure are determined for each patient during her consultation and examination. This will vary with individual needs.

Keloids: Scars can negatively affect self esteem or remind patients of traumatic accidents. They may be a focal point of unkind attention as well. Keloids can be painful, itch, or even restrict activity. While scar revision cannot make a scar vanish completely, scar revision procedures can diminish the appearances of scars and help restore a damaged self-image. Many techniques, including surgery and tissue expansion, which allows the recruitment of healthy tissue, are used. Adjunctive treatments are used after surgery to reduce the risk of recurrence. This includes steroid injections and soft tissue radiation.

Dr. Day's results are very good with this combination type of therapy.
