Procedures

The goal of reconstructive plastic surgery is to restore the body to normal or as close to normal as possible. There are many causes for these deformities including cancer, trauma and congenital deformities.

Through a variety of surgical procedures including local flaps, free flaps using microsurgical techniques, tissue rearrangement and skin grafting the reconstruction is accomplished. The principle is to replace the tissue lost, injured or deformed with like skin and soft tissue which are reshaped to as close as normal as possible.
